Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas only. An area of low pressure, possibly a tropical cyclone, S of the waters will move NW towards the Florida coast tonight into Fri, then move inland Fri night. A cold front will approach the N waters Fri, then stall near 40N Fri night before lifting slowly N of the area as a warm front Sat into Sun. Another cold front will approach the waters from the NW Sun night into Mon, then move SE over the area Mon night.
