West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight,
currently centered about 60 nm SE of Charleston, SC, will track
slowly NW today, and make landfall in NE South Carolina later
today into tonight. All marine interests should closely monitor
the latest forecast and additional information issued by the
National Hurricane Center or your local National Weather Service
forecast office. Otherwise, a warm front will form and lift N
across the waters today through Tue night, and pass N of the area
later Wed and Wed night. A trough will be W and extend N of
Potential Tropical Cyclone Eight today and Tue with a frontal
system forming in association with the system through Wed night,
then the move E into the inner waters Thu and Thu night. A cold
front will drift S across the N waters later Fri and Fri night,
while a high pressure ridge builds slowly S along the coast.
