Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
414 PM EST Fri Dec 5 2025

A split in the jet stream will keep storm systems to the north and
south of the Keystone state this weekend. The highest chance of
precipitation will be later on the day on Sunday across the north
and west. Temperatures will remain colder than normal this
weekend, for the first full weekend in December.

Lows tonight will range from the teens across the north and west,
to the lower to mid 20s across the south. Highs on Saturday will
range from the 30s across the north and west, to the lower 40s
across the southeast. Lows Saturday night will be in the 20s.
Highs on Sunday will range from the upper 20s and lower 30s across
the north, to the upper 30s across the south.

Precipitation on Sunday will work into the far northwest by late
Sunday morning and spread into northern and western sections of
the Keystone state by late afternoon. Snowfall accumulation by
late Sunday afternoon will be mainly a dusting across the north
and west, to perhaps an inch near Lake Erie.

Light snow is likely across the western Alleghenies Sunday night
with a few inches most likely in the northwest part of the
Keystone state by Monday morning. Monday night into Tuesday
morning will be very cold with low temperatures in the single
digits and lower teens.

A reinforcing cold weather pattern with quick moving disturbances
will bring below normal temperatures and a couple opportunities
for snow next Tuesday through Friday.
