Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
422 AM CDT Sun Jun 15 2025

A slow moving upper level weather system was nearly stationary
over southeast Kansas last night. This produced numerous showers
and a few embedded thunderstorms. Predawn temperatures were in the
60s and 70s with light easterly winds.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will affect much of Oklahoma
into southeast Kansas, and southwest Missouri early this morning.
Some of this activity will linger over eastern Oklahoma into
southern Missouri as the upper level low pressure system drifts
southeast. Otherwise warm and humid conditions will be in store
for the central plains today. Daytime highs will range from the
90s in western sections of Nebraska and Kansas to the lower 80s in
southeast Kansas.

For tonight, showers and storms are expected to redevelop over
western areas of Nebraska and Kansas. Some of this activity will
become strong to severe and be capable of producing large hail,
damaging winds, and heavy rainfall. Overnight lows will range from
the upper 50s in the Nebraska panhandle, to the upper 60s in
central Oklahoma.
