Today was another hot day across the Sunflower State as high
temperatures were in the 90s to the low 100s. Scattered storms
affected portions of western and southeast Kansas with the main
impacts being strong gusty winds. Outside of storms, mostly sunny
skies prevailed with relatively light winds.

Tonight low temperatures will drop into the 60s and 70s across the
Central Plains. Additional storms may be possible in northeastern
Kansas, and portions of Nebraska with large hail and damaging
wind gusts possible with the strongest activity. Mostly clear
skies and winds around 10 mph are expected overnight.

Another hot day is in store for Labor Day as high temperatures
will be in the 90s to the low 100s. Mostly sunny skies and breezy
southerly winds are expected across the region.
