- High pressure will build into the region bringing cooler
  temperatures for the remainder of the week. Highs are expected
  to be in the 70s through Friday.

- Temperatures will warm back up this weekend with highs reaching
  into the mid 80s by Monday and Tuesday.

Cool and dry air will continue to filter into the Mid-South today
behind a cold front. Overnight, dewpoints will drop to the upper
40s areawide. Continual CAA will allow for temperatures on
Thursday to remain in the low to mid 70s, bringing the first taste
of fall to the Mid-South. Overnight lows Thursday into Friday will
drop into the mid 40s for areas along the TN/KY border.

Unfortunately, a warming trend will resume this weekend as an
upper level ridge builds over Texas. Luckily, this ridge will have
a hard time pushing east through Sunday as multiple shortwaves
traverse northern and eastern CONUS. Highs on Sunday will be in
the low 80s.

Additional warming is forecast for the beginning of next week as
the center of the aforementioned ridge pushes towards the Mid-
South. By midweek, highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. For now,
no rain is in the forecast for the foreseeable future.

IFR/MVFR stratocumulus cloud deck had mixed out at all TAF sites
but TUP at discussion time. GOES visible imagery shows TUP will
join the other sites carrying VFR in the next hour or two.

Dry Canadian surface high pressure will bring VFR through the
remainder of the TAF period. Northeast winds will continue, with a
slight weakening in wind speeds overnight.

A gradual increase in fire danger is anticipated this weekend as
prolonged dry conditions lead to less fuel moisture. In addition,
MinRH in the 30 to 40 percentile range will support a slight
increase in fire danger.
