.Discussion...
Critical fire weather conditions are not expected for the next
seven days. Dry and mild weather is expected for the remainder
of the week and into the weekend, with much warmer than average
temperatures most days, though both Wednesday and Friday will
see some very modest cooling as a couple weak cold fronts move
through. Winds will be gusty over the mountains at times,
especially during the day on Tuesday. Light wind driven snow
showers will be possible off and on through the end of the
week for the higher peaks of the central mountains, though
snowfall accumulations look light.
Afternoon smoke dispersion will stay to poor to fair at most
lower elevations and across the plains Tuesday, with good
values possible over the mountains, especially higher exposed
west slopes. Similar conditions are forecast for Wednesday,
though a small portion of southeast plains, south of the
Arkansas River, may reach good levels by afternoon.
