533 FNUS75 KSLC 131817 FWSSLC Spot Forecast for Whitney Bear RX...USFS National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT 1117 AM MST Thu Nov 13 2025 Forecast is based on ignition time of 1100 MST on November 13. If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. .DISCUSSION...A storm system will continue to slowly deepen and cut off along the Pacific coast into the weekend. This is resulting in an enhancement to deep southwesterly flow overhead locally. In turn, areas that are mixing out are seeing lower level winds also increase and become modestly gusty, especially closer to ridgetop elevation. Some lower elevation or more sheltered valleys may take a bit to mix out and see lighter terrain driven flow until doing so. Winds will start to relax some after sunset. For Friday the overall flow pattern will not change significantly, but increasing moisture will result in increasing cloud cover. This may result in it taking a bit longer to see areas mix out and see increasing winds/gusts, but generally do anticipate fairly similar winds to that of Thursday. .REST OF TODAY... Wind (20 ft)........Southwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts to around 25 mph. Some gusts to around 30-35 mph possible, especially nearer ridgetop locations. Transport winds.....Southwest around 29 mph. .TONIGHT... Wind (20 ft)........Winds relax after around 1800 this evening, becoming south around 5-15 mph. Transport winds.....Southwest 22 to 24 mph. .FRIDAY... Wind (20 ft)........Southwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts to around 25 mph. Some gusts to around 30 mph possible, especially nearer ridgetop locations. Transport winds.....Southwest 25 to 33 mph. $$ Forecaster...Warthen Requested by...Northern Utah Fire Dispatch Type of request...PRESCRIBED .TAG 2525853.0/SLC .DELDT 11/13/25 .FormatterVersion 2.0.0 .EMAIL utnuc@firenet.gov
