.DISCUSSION...
A couple of cold fronts will move through the region over the next
few days resulting in periodic wind shifts, but no precipitation
is expected until early next week. A cold front will move through
this morning with winds becoming northerly 15 to 20 mph. South
winds will return on Thursday then another front will slide south
on Friday. The strongest cold front will move through late
Saturday into Sunday with brisk north winds and much colder air.
Afternoon RH values will typically remain above 30% each day
except today and Thursday where values will drop to 20-30% west of
I-35. This lower RH along with brisk winds may support a slight
increase in fire activity west of I-35 this afternoon and Thursday
afternoon. Otherwise, the overall fire weather threat will remain
minimal through next week.
