.Discussion...
Meteorological conditions for extreme fire behavior are not
expected during this forecast period.
From today through Wednesday, it will mainly be dry during
these days. There will be slow warming trend during this
4 day period as temperatures will increase by a few degrees
each day. It will be breezy at times across the district most
days.
For Thursday and Friday, there is lots of uncertainty on these
two days as an arctic airmass will push down the central part
of the country. If this arctic airmass takes a more westerly
track, then it will be colder over the district with a chance of
wind driven snow over the central mountains and light snow over
the plains. If the system takes on a more easterly track, then
it will be mild and dry over the district on Thursday and
Friday.
For next weekend, it is expected to be mild and dry.
Smoke dispersion over the mountains will be fair both this
afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.
