Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
645 AM MDT Sat Oct 4 2025

.Discussion...

Widespread critical fire weather conditions are not expected over
the next several days. Windier conditions do return to much of
southern Colorado today, with winds gusting up to 40 to 50 mph and
potentially up to 55 at times. Minimum relative humidity values
do increase today, with values staying above 20 percent. Some
potential for values to fall slightly below 20 percent across the
eastern plains, however, this only looks to be for a small window.
Values inch closer to critical levels on Sunday, however, winds
will be lighter.

Showers and isolated storms are expected to continue today
through this evening, with the highest coverage of showers
remaining along the mountains. Beyond all of that, a less dry and
less windy pattern is anticipated through midweek of next week.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be very good to excellent across
the area today, and good to very good on Sunday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
