.Discussion...
No fire weather concerns across the district through the next
several days. Persistent northwest flow with embedded energy
will continue well into next week. The most potent embedded
wave will move across the area tonight into Saturday, with
heavy snow across the Central Mountains. Winds will also be
gusty with 30 to 55 mph winds late tonight into Saturday
morning for the higher terrain. Mixing will help bring these
gusty winds to the Plains Saturday afternoon. Beyond Saturday,
periods of snow will be possible, mainly across the Central
Mountains through mid to late next week.
For the Plains, smoke dispersions will be poor tonight into
Saturday. Mountain areas will see poor conditions tonight,
becoming very good to excellent Saturday. The mountain-plains
interface will see poor dispersions overnight, with generally
fair conditions Saturday afternoon.
