.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 239 PM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024
Overall quiet weather pattern expected over the upcoming week. High
pressure continues to build into the region behind the frontal
boundary that swept through the area yesterday. Temperatures today
will remain at or just below average for this time of year, but
going forward through the rest of the week, a substantial warmup is
expected. As the ridge shifts off to the east and the surface high
settles to our east, easterly to southeasterly flow will foster
those warming temperatures. Highs tomorrow will reach the lower to
middle 80s across the CWA, but by Thursday, afternoon highs will top
out in the upper 80s for everyone, with a couple of 90s sprinkled
in. Through the end of the forecast period into early next week,
upper 80s to lower 90s are expected areawide. Very low relative
humidity values will persist during this time period leading to
feels like temperatures near the actual highs for the day. Lower
dewpoints will also allow overnight temperatures to fall into the
lower to middle 60s each night. The stout high pressure will also
keep precipitation chances at bay along with minimal cloud cover.

.MARINE...
Issued at 239 PM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024

leading to minimal weather concerns. Winds and seas will continue to
diminish today with winds of less than 15 knots and seas falling to
2 feet or less this afternoon.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 239 PM EDT Tue Apr 23 2024
High pressure will dominate the weather pattern the next week with
warm and dry conditions expected. Critically low RH values are
expected each afternoon, but winds will remain light negating a
need for a Red Flag Warning.
