Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected the next couple of day from the northern Plains, Midwest, Great Lakes and into portions of New England and Mid-Atlantic. Dangerous heat will affect the Midwest, Ohio Valley and into the Mid-Atlantic where several new high records are forecast.
