.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...There will be a slight increase
in moisture today, which will lead to scattered late afternoon
thunderstorms over the east slopes of the Front Range, with a few
storms possible on the eastern plains in the evening.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...
Increased thunderstorm coverage Wednesday under more unstable
conditions, but wetting rain will be spotty, being more likely for
the high country and eastern plains. A cold front will bring cooler
and slightly more humid conditions Thursday, with isolated to
scattered afternoon showers/storms that may return on Friday to some
areas. Increasing potential for warmer and drier conditions over the
weekend and into early next week, with breezier conditions as well.
Fuel conditions will remain the determining factor for fire danger
during this period. Smoke dispersal will generally remain very
favorable each afternoon under good vertical mixing conditions.
