Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Kentucky
National Weather Service Jackson KY
413 AM EDT Wed May 22 2024

.DISCUSSION...Above normal temperatures will persist for
one more day, before widespread clouds and rain begin to
cool things of on Thursday. In fact, we will see repeated
rounds of showers and storms across eastern Kentucky from
late today through the first of next week, as a series of
surface fronts and areas of low pressure move through. Due
to the expected rain, persistently moist conditions will
keep relative humidity and fuel moisture levels well above
any critical fire danger thresholds for nearly a week. With
winds also not expected to be and issue, fire danger over
the next six or seven days will be very low.
