At 242 AM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mainly in northwest
Arkansas and far northeast Oklahoma. Thunderstorms with locally
heavy rain were located in Ottawa and Craig counties in Oklahoma and
Carroll county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in the
Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the east
at greater than 40 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour
was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two and a
half to three inches. Intensity increased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and into this morning, partly
cloudy, a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms
may be severe .
