...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1932, a  tornado formed 5 miles south of St Francis
Kansas, and moved south southeast at 20 mph.

In 1994, a large multi vortex tornado damaged several farmsteads
in Cheyenne County Kansas. Several large trees were uprooted. The
tornado was witnessed by many residents. Property damage was
estimated at one hundred thousand dollars. The tornado moved
southeast at 15 to 20 mph.

In 2008, severe rains and hailstorms were reported at Hoxie.
Hail fell to a depth of eight inches. Cattle were killed and crops ruined.
