...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT AND
SOUTHEASTERN CURRY COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 417 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 7 miles south of Clovis, moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Portales, Texico, Dora, Causey, Saint Vrain, Ranchvale, Arch,
Oasis State Park, and Cannon Air Force Base.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water and flooded street intersections as storms move
through the area.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
