PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHERE...Turkey River at Spillville.

* WHEN...Until just after midnight tonight.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.8 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early this
    morning to 9.2 feet this morning. It will then fall below
    flood stage this afternoon to 3.4 feet early Saturday
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

* WHEN...Until early Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor flooding occurs in areas near the
  river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 4:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this morning to a crest of 13.2 feet this evening. It will
    then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
