...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in

  Eau Claire River NEAR Fall Creek affecting Chippewa and Eau Claire
  Chippewa River at Durand affecting Buffalo and Pepin Counties

.Overview...Runoff from snowmelt, total rainfall so far today of up to
8 tenths of an inch onto frozen ground and additional rainfall over the
next few hours will continue to produce rising water levels on the Chippewa
& Eau Claire Rivers. Additional rainfall amounts over portions of West
Central Wisconsin will generally be less one tenth of an inch. Most of this
activity will end by late this evening. The National Weather Service will
continue to monitor this developing situation and issue followup statements
as conditions or forecasts change.


Do not drive cars through flooded areas.  Turn Around...Don`t Drown.

Warning continues for
  The Eau Claire River NEAR Fall Creek.

* For Fall Creek, no observed stage value is available.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 13.4
  feet Wednesday early afternoon...and fall below flood stage by
  Thursday afternoon.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Roads near the river begin to flood.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet...Some park and agricultural lands become

...Flood Warning expected to continue until further notice...The Flood
Warning continues for
  The Chippewa River at Durand.
* from Wednesday evening until further notice.
* At  7:45 PM Monday the stage was 5.7 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by Wednesday evening and continue
  to rise to near 15.5 feet by Friday evening.
* Impact...At 16.5 feet...Highway 10 on the north approach to the
  bridge across the Chippewa River may flood.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...The basements of businesses along the river
  begin to flood.
* Impact...At 12.5 feet...River Street in downtown Durand begins to
