This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,
south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Accumulating light snow around Hays will cause slick spots and
potentially hazardous travel on area roads in the Wakeeney and
Hays areas this morning. Wind chill temperatures are expected to
fall to around 15 to 20 degrees below zero across central into
much of southwest Kansas later tonight into Tuesday morning. See
the latest Winter Weather Advisory for additional details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected to return to the
area on Thursday and Friday as warmer and drier conditions return.
There is a chance for wintry weather to return to western Kansas
on Saturday and Sunday as an strong upper level storm system moves
out of the Rockies into the central Plains.


Spotter activation will not be necessary today and tonight.
