This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

Day 1 Discussion

Winds will diminish quickly late this afternoon, and fire control
will become easier. No hazardous weather is expected tonight.

* Non-thunderstorm wind: Limited risk
* Fire weather: Elevated risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Strong south-southwest winds gusting to near 50 mph and low
relative humidities will create critical fire weather conditions
Sunday afternoon into early Sunday evening. Fuels are extremely
dry and susceptible to rapid combustion. Outdoor burning should
not be attempted Sunday.

Gusty southwest winds and low relative humidity will produce
elevated fire weather conditions near the Oklahoma border in

Friday in south central Kansas. If any precipitation falls
