This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Low stratus clouds, and areas of drizzle or light rain showers are
expected today. Some areas of fog will reduce visibility this
morning. Any rainfall will be light today. Scattered
thunderstorms that develop over eastern Colorado this evening are
expected to move into western Kansas tonight. The threat of any
severe weather is minimal. Some storms may produce small hail and
wind gusts near 50 mph tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Sunshine and dry weather return on Tuesday along with much warmer
temperatures. Warmer temperatures will lower the relative humidity
across the western counties on Wednesday, elevating the fire
weather risk. Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible across
the eastern counties Wednesday afternoon and evening. Thursday
will be dry, before a strong storm system brings showers and
thunderstorms on Friday. Morning low temperatures in the 30s are
expected on Sunday morning, with the potential for areas of frost
next weekend.
