This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion
Numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecast this afternoon
and tonight. At this time, the severe weather potential is
quite low given absence of appreciable wind shear and instability.
Thunderstorm activity should redevelop along a cold front
late tonight with storms likely continuing through daybreak Tuesday
into south central Kansas.

* Lightning: Elevated risk
* Excessive heat: Limited risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Days 2-7 Discussion
A break in precipitation chances is forecast Tuesday afternoon
through Thursday Night as high pressure moves in at the surface,
but thunderstorms are again in the forecast beginning Friday.
Severe weather risk Friday and beyond are still uncertain at this
