This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Rain will transition to snow tonight into Thursday morning, with
up to one inch of new snow accumulation possible for portions of
northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

A winter storm will move through the Upper Midwest Thursday night
through Saturday morning. Snow will be likely in northwest
Wisconsin and adjacent areas of central Minnesota. The exact
track of the low pressure system and snow amounts are still in
question, but there is potential for 6 inches or more for portions
of northwest Wisconsin. Stay tuned to the latest forecast for
details as we get closer to this event.

The Mississippi River at Fort Ripley is forecast to rise above
flood stage early Saturday morning with minor flooding expected,
mainly in rural areas near Fort Ripley.


Snow spotters are requested to report precipitation type...and
measurements of snow accumulations today and tonight to the
National Weather Service. Spotters and the public can also report
precipitation type with the free M-PING smartphone app.
