THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MUCH OF NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHWEST WISCONSIN OVERNIGHT...MAINLY ALONG AND
NORTH OF THE HIGHWAY 2 CORRIDOR. EVEN THOUGH TEMPERATURES MAY BE
ABOVE FREEZING...ROAD TEMPERATURES ARE GENERALLY AT OR BELOW
FREEZING IN MANY AREAS. THIS HAS RESULTED IN DETERIORATING ROAD
CONDITIONS AND WE WILL SEE THIS TREND CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT.

OTHER ISSUES OVERNIGHT WILL BE THE DEVELOPMENT OF DENSE FOG AND
FREEZING FOG. WE MAY NEED TO EVENTUALLY ISSUE ADVISORIES FOR THOSE
FEATURES AS WELL. THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT IS THAT ROAD CONDITIONS
WILL BE SLICK OVERNIGHT.

SEE THE LATEST WINTER WEATHER PRODUCTS AND FORECASTS FOR DETAILED
INFORMATION FOR YOUR LOCATION.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A PROLONGED PERIOD OF LIGHT RAIN...DRIZZLE...FREEZING DRIZZLE...
AND SNOW WILL CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. THERE IS
A POTENTIAL FOR LIGHT SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATION TO MAKE ROADS
SLIPPERY AND TRAVEL DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY.

ANOTHER AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION TUESDAY
NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY. THAT SYSTEM WILL BRING A POTENTIAL FOR A
RAIN AND SNOW MIXTURE...CHANGING TO ALL SNOW BY WEDNESDAY
EVENING. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION ARE POSSIBLE FROM
TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT...AND A SHIFT IN THE STORM
TRACK COULD BRING EVEN GREATER TOTALS TO THE NORTHLAND.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SNOW SPOTTERS ARE REQUESTED TO REPORT PRECIPITATION TYPE...AND
MEASUREMENTS OF SNOW OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS TO THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE. SPOTTERS AND THE PUBLIC CAN ALSO REPORT
PRECIPITATION TYPE WITH THE FREE M-PING SMARTPHONE APP.
