Slight improvements in air quality are expected during the day. Conditions will likely worsen again overnight. Please refer to the latest Air Quality Alerts for Minnesota and Wisconsin for more details. There is a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms over the Arrowhead and northwest Wisconsin this evening. A few storms may be strong to severe. Frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds of 40 to 60 mph, and hail up to the size of a quarter are the main threats with the strongest storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Wildfire smoke is expected to linger over the Northland through the Monday morning. Additional thunderstorm chances are forecast Monday night through the end of the week. A few strong storms are possible Tuesday. Small Craft Advisories are in effect. There is a 20 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms over western Lake Superior this evening. A few storms may be strong to severe.
