...A Cold Halloween for the Area...

La Crosse WI...

On Halloween, the high temperature was 35F at La Crosse Regional
Airport.  This was 4th coldest high temperature and the coldest
since 1996 (34F - 3rd coldest).  The coldest high temperature
on a Halloween was 31F in 1873.

The average temperature was 30F.  This tied 1913 for the 8th coldest
average temperature on a Halloween.  This was the coldest average
temperature for a Halloween since 1996 (28.5F - 3rd coldest).  The
coldest average temperature occurred back in 1873 when the average
temperature was 24.5F.

Rochester MN...

On Halloween, the high temperature was 34F at Rochester
International Airport.  This tied 1913 and 1951 for the 5th coldest
high temperature and the coldest since 2002 (33F - 4th coldest). The
coldest high temperature on a Halloween was 30F in 1917 and 1996.

The average temperature was 28F.  This tied 1991 for the 9th coldest
average temperature on a Halloween.  This was the coldest average
temperature for a Halloween since 2006 (26.5F - 5th coldest). The
coldest occurred back in 1996 when the average temperature was
23F.
