THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL, SOUTH
CENTRAL, AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL AFFECT THE REGION THIS
EVENING. OVERNIGHT, A COMPLEX OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO MOVE OFF
THE HIGH PLAINS AND INTO THE WESTERN HALF OF KANSAS. SEVERE STORMS
ARE THE MOST LIKELY WEST OF I-135. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE
DAMAGING WIND TO 70 MPH. LOCALIZE FLOODING FROM HEAVY RAIN IS ALSO
POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

A COMPLEX OF STORMS IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ON THE HIGH PLAINS ON
THURSDAY NIGHT AND MOVE EAST. THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THIS COULD BE
A LONGER LIVED SYSTEM WITH WINDS APPROACHING 80 MPH. STAY TUNED
FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THIS SYSTEM.

FROM THE REMAINDER OF THE PERIOD, THERE ARE PERIODIC CHANCES OF
THUNDERSTORMS. SHOULD THESE DEVELOP, DUE TO THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY,
THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE THEY WILL BECOME SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND
SOME DAMAGING WIND.

THE HEAT WILL INCREASE OVER THE WEEKEND AND BY EARLY NEXT WEEK,
WILL PRODUCE HEAT INDICES NEAR 105 DEGREES. THESE HEAT INDICES
WILL REMAIN IN PLACE TIL THE LATTER PART OF NEXT WEEK.
