THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KANSAS...
SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT

HEAT INDICES WILL HOVER AROUND 100 DEGREES ACROSS MUCH OF THE
AREA THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING.

AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM IS POSSIBLE EARLY THIS EVENING...MAINLY
EAST OF THE KANSAS TURNPIKE. IF SO...A STORM WITH BRIEF GUSTY
WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ON MONDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT. A FEW
STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE LATE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING...ESPECIALLY ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL
KANSAS AND A PORTION OF THE FLINT HILLS. THE MAIN RISK WILL BE
DOWN-BURST WINDS OF 55 TO 65 MPH. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL IS
ALSO EXPECTED FROM LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...MAINLY
ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CONFINED TO MAINLY SOUTH
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS ON TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY NIGHT
WITH CHANCES DEVELOPING FURTHER NORTH ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA
BY WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. WHILE THE RISK FOR
ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER IS LOW...A FEW STRONG TO MARGINALLY
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA ALONG
WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WILL DIMINISH OR END ACROSS MUCH OF
THE AREA BY NEXT WEEKEND...EXCEPT FOR PERIODIC SLIGHT CHANCES
ACROSS CENTRAL KANSAS. THE RISK FOR ORGANIZED STRONG TO SEVERE
STORMS APPEARS LOW.
