UNDER A FEW HIGH CLOUDS...EARLY MORNING TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE
MID 50S OVER CENTRAL KANSAS...TO THE MID 40S OVER THE SOUTHEAST
CORNER OF THE SUNFLOWER STATE. LIGHT SOUTHEAST WINDS WERE ALSO IN
PLACE ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS.

SURFACE LOW PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN OVER THE HIGH PLAINS
TODAY AS GUSTY SOUTH WINDS CONTINUE TO BRING MOISTURE INTO THE
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS. A FEW STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE THIS
AFTERNOON OVER WESTERN KANSAS ALONG WITH CENTRAL AND EASTERN
NEBRASKA AS A WEAK FRONT SLIDES INTO THE AREA. STORM CHANCES ARE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE TONIGHT OVER NORTHWEST KANSAS...THE EASTERN
HALF OF NEBRASKA AND MUCH OF IOWA AS A WEAK UPPER DISTURBANCE
APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED WITH
THIS ACTIVITY.

HIGHS TODAY ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM THE 60S OVER WESTERN NEBRASKA
TO AROUND 80 OVER CENTRAL KANSAS. LOOK FOR OVERNIGHT LOWS TO RANGE
FROM THE 40S OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF NEBRASKA TO THE 50S OVER THE
REMAINDER OF THE AREA.
