High temperatures were in the low to mid 90s. This afternoon into tonight, storms are possible with the best chances in western Kansas. In central and northeast Kansas, scattered storms will likely develop along the cold front that is pushing south, but not all areas will see a storm. The main impacts of these storms would be 60 mph winds, quarter size hail, and heavy rain. Low temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s. Saturday will be slightly cooler than today across the Central Plains with high temperatures in the 80s. There is a chance for scattered rain showers and storms mainly in southern Kansas and Oklahoma. Winds will be calm with speeds between 5 to 10 mph. $$
