...Unseasonably warm temperatures across Western and North Central
Nebraska on Friday, December 30th 2016...

.High temperatures today (Friday, December 30th 2016) across Western
and North Central Nebraska were unseasonably warm in the 50s to mid-
60s, which was 15 to 25 degrees above normal for the final week of
December. The highest observed temperature today was 65 degrees
Fahrenheit at both the Thedford Airport in Thomas county, as well as
2.0 miles west of Halsey in Thomas county. The North Platte Airport
in Lincoln county recorded a high temperature of 63 degrees
Fahrenheit, which was 25 degrees above the normal high temperature
of 38 degrees for December 30th. The Broken Bow Airport in Custer
county came within 9 degrees Fahrenheit of tieing a record high
temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit for December 30th, which was
set back in 1904.
