THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE EXTREME SOUTHERN TEXAS
PANHANDLE...SOUTH PLAINS AND ROLLING PLAINS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

FLOODING

PERIODS OF WIDESPREAD MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED TODAY
AND TOMORROW ACROSS MUCH OF THE SOUTH PLAINS REGION. THIS HEAVY
RAIN WILL RESULT IN AREAL FLOODING OVER MUCH OF THE AREA. IN
ADDITION...POCKETS OF FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE WHERE THE
HEAVIEST RAINS FALL...AS WELL AS IN FLASH FLOOD PRONE REGIONS
INCLUDING ALONG THE EDGE OF THE CAPROCK. A FLOOD WATCH IS IN
EFFECT FOR ALL OF THE SOUTH PLAINS...ROLLING PLAINS AND MOST OF
THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE INTO FRIDAY EVENING. THIS FLOOD
WATCH MAY NEED TO BE EXTENDED BEYOND TOMORROW EVENING...AS DETAILS
OF THE IMPENDING RAIN EVENT BECOMES MORE CLEAR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL PERSIST ON INTO THE
WEEKEND...WITH A CONTINUED THREAT OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND THE
POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING.
