...Special Weather Statement...

At 935 am, radar showed only weak precipitation returns across
the area, departing west Kentucky. There may be some lingering
very light freezing drizzle in southeast Missouri, southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana and most of west Kentucky. The
Hopkinsville and Elkton areas were still above freezing. Be alert
for lingering patchy slick spots on untreated roads, bridges and
overpasses, and secondary, less traveled roads.

Late this afternoon and evening, a band of light wintry
precipitation is forecast to move northeast across west Kentucky.
Amounts will be minimal, in the form of sleet, light snow, and
possibly freezing drizzle. This could result in slick roads in
some areas as well.
