THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  ELEVATED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT ACROSS
  PORTIONS OF EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS INTO THE MISSOURI
  OZARKS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD ACROSS THE AREA
  FROM WEST TO EAST TUESDAY MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. NO
  SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED.

  WARMER CONDITIONS WILL SPREAD BACK INTO THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY
  AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE UPPER 80S TO THE LOWER 90S. HEAT
  INDEX VALUES IN THE MIDDLE 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES ARE EXPECTED
  WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

  A FEW HIT AND MISS TYPE STORMS MAY OCCUR DURING THE DAY ON
  WEDNESDAY BUT MOST LOCATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN DRY.

  A COLD FRONT WILL THEN PUSH INTO CENTRAL KANSAS INTO NORTHERN
  MISSOURI LATER WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT. STORMS ARE
  EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONT AND SOME MAY SAG OFF THE
  FRONT AND  INTO THE FAR NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA
  LATE WEDNESDAY EVENING INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

  THE FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY
  MORNING WITH ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND STORMS EXPECTED ALONG THE
  FRONT.

  THE FRONT WILL THEN STALL JUST SOUTH OF THE AREA THIS WEEKEND
  WITH A FEW STORMS POSSIBLE AT TIMES THIS WEEKEND.
