THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED FLOODING RISK.
  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  LIMITED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT
  THE DAY TODAY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44. SHOWERS AND
  THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SLOW MOVING...AND WHEN COMBINED WITH A
  VERY HIGH MOISTURE AIRMASS...WILL LEAD TO A LIMITED RISK FOR
  FLASH FLOODING ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44.

  HEAT INDICES IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS
  AFTERNOON ACROSS PORTIONS OF WESTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS WHERE PARTIAL CLEARING CAN TAKE PLACE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ON A DAILY BASIS
  THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE WEEK. A COMPLEX OF SHOWERS AND
  THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE OUT OF KANSAS THURSDAY NIGHT AND LEAD
  TO A LIMITED RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS WESTERN
  PORTIONS OF THE AREA. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND FREQUENT
  LIGHTNING CAN ALSO BE EXPECTED FROM THE STORMS THIS WEEK.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S
  AT TIMES THROUGH THE WEEK...ESPECIALLY ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEAST
  KANSAS AND ALONG THE MISSOURI AND ARKANSAS BORDER. HIGHER HEAT
  INDICES OVER 100 DEGREES WILL RETURN EARLY NEXT WEEK.
