Isolated hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms popped up across
portions of the eastern half of Kansas this afternoon, with
scattered to numerous storms impacting western Kansas, in the
vicinity of a nearly stalled upper low. The main threats were
locally heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail, although isolated
occurrences of brief severe weather were possible. Late afternoon
temperatures were in the 80s and 90s, with heat indices in the 90s
to near 100 degrees.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue
overnight across western portions of Kansas and Oklahoma. Locally
heavy rain and gusty winds will be the main threats, although
isolated occurrences of severe weather are possible this evening.
Forecast low temperatures are in the 60s and 70s.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will continue Sunday across
western portions of Kansas and Oklahoma, with mostly dry weather
elsewhere. Forecast high temperatures are in the 80s and 90s.
