Afternoon temperatures were in the 90s with southerly winds of 10
to 20 mph across central and eastern Kansas.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will move across western and
central Kansas tonight, with some severe weather likely. The
storms will gradually slide southward and diminish around
midnight. Overnight lows will be in the 60s across the region.

Warm and humid conditions will prevail on Wednesday across the
central plains. Surface low pressure will deepen over central
Nebraska with southerly winds increasing across the region.
Scattered thunderstorms will be possible again for western Kansas
into central Nebraska Wednesday afternoon. Daytime highs will be
in the 90s over the Heartland.
