Synopsis: High pressure in the Gulf of Alaska shifts east as the next
system moves in from the AK Peninsula into the northern
panhandle Tuesday into Wednesday. Northwesterly flow along the
coast is expected to shift to west-southwesterly during this
transit, with predominately southerlies within the inner
channels. Seas building to 8 to 11 feet in the Gulf before
diminishing through midweek.
