Synopsis: A weakening 992 mb low in the northern gulf will gradually weaken and remain mostly stationary through Tuesday night. Westerly 20 kt winds and seas of 7 to 10 feet persist in the Gulf of Alaska Tuesday, steadily decreasing into Wednesday. 10 to 15 kt S winds are also blowing through the northern and central inner channels, shifting southeastward into the southern inner channels Tuesday morning. A brief break is expected Tuesday night before the next system approaches the panhandle Wednesday, increasing winds and seas again.
