West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A weak stationary front extending
E along 34N this evening will dissipate tonight while a weak area
of high pressure over the central waters moves E. A trough will
move E across the northern and central waters Wed afternoon,
followed by a cold front late Wed night. The front will move
slowly SE across the N half of the waters Thu before becoming
stationary E of the Virginia Capes Thu night and Fri. It will
then return N as a weak warm front on Sat. The next cold front
will approach the Mid-Atlantic coast by late Sun, then move E
across the northern and central waters Sun night.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
