A weak shortwave is moving through northern AZ today. Daytime highs are a few degrees cooler than yesterday, but still seasonably warm as 500 mb heights sit above normal for early November. The shortwave is also helping to kick up some breezy southwest winds through the rest of the afternoon, and look to linger through the middle of the week. After the shortwave passes we enter a more zonal flow regime where seasonably warm temperatures and dry conditions prevail. && .AVIATION...Tuesday 04/06Z through Wednesday 05/06Z...VFR conditions. Local haze/smoke possible from prescribed burns. Light and variable wind overnight. Southwest winds 10-15 kts with gusts to 20 kts redeveloping after 18Z Tue then decreasing again after 02Z. OUTLOOK...Wednesday 05/06Z through Friday 07/06Z...VFR conditions. Local haze/smoke possible from prescribed burns. Southwest winds 10-15 kts with gusts to 20 kts Wednesday afternoon, west to northwest 5-15 kts Thursday afternoon. Winds mainly light and variable during the overnight periods. && .FIRE WEATHER...Tuesday and Wednesday...Mild and dry weather will continue. South to southwest winds 5-15 mph with gusts of 20-25 mph each afternoon. Minimum RH between 10-20% both days. Thursday through Saturday...Mild and dry conditions. Light west to northwest winds at 5-15 mph Thursday afternoon.
