Cooler air mass continues to infiltrate the area with one more
night of cold temperatures, making tonight the coldest
temperatures seen so far this season with air temperatures
ranging from around 10 degrees to 18 degrees. The coldest
temperatures will be east of HWY 83 where skies will be clear,
west of HWY 83 clouds are expected to remain most of the night
and will help temperatures stay slightly warmer, albeit only a
few degrees...but in the upper teen. Although winds will be
light overnight will still see wind chills dip into the single
digits across portions of the Sandhills into north central
Nebraska.

For Monday, temperatures will begin to moderate as southerly
flow returns with highs in the 50s to low 60s, generally west of
HWY 183, areas near and east of there will see temperatures in
the 40s.

.LONG TERM /MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY/...
Issued at 332 PM CST Sun Nov 9 2025

A broad upper level ridge begins to build across the western
CONUS continuing to spread eastward with temperatures warming
through the week into widespread 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Ridge will become centered over the High Plains on Thursday
leading to the warmest day this week with highs reaching the low
70s across the Sandhills and western Nebraska. This is near 20
degrees or more above normal for this time of year. As far as
precipitation goes, expect the week to remain mostly dry, with
the next chance of precipitation not arriving until late Friday
into Saturday depending on the timing of an approaching trof.
This will also cool temperatures for the weekend, but not
expected to be as cool as this weekend, but a return to more
seasonable temperatures.
