212 FLUS43 KGLD 062017 HWOGLD Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Goodland KS 217 PM MDT Sun Jul 6 2025 COZ090>092-KSZ001>004-013>016-027>029-041-042-NEZ079>081-072030- Yuma-Kit Carson-Cheyenne-Rawlins-Decatur-Norton-Sherman-Thomas- Sheridan-Graham-Wallace-Logan-Gove-Greeley-Wichita-Dundy-Hitchcock- Red Willow- 217 PM MDT Sun Jul 6 2025 /317 PM CDT Sun Jul 6 2025/ This hazardous weather outlook is for extreme southwest Nebraska... northwest Kansas and east central Colorado. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT... Thunderstorms in the lee of the Colorado Front Range will move eastward across portions of northeast Colorado, northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska late this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds appear to be the primary hazard with these storms. Gusts in excess of 75 mph are possible, especially along and north of Highway 36. In addition, there may be embedded supercells capable of producing large hail and perhaps a brief tornado. Heavy rain and flash flooding are also a concern, especially with slow moving storms in vicinity of Red Willow and Norton counties this afternoon, and in areas that received heavy rainfall the past several days. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY... Another round of severe storms is likely late Monday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds will continue to be the primary hazard.
