.DISCUSSION...
.CURRENTLY...
Under partly cloudy skies and southeast to south winds
of 10 to 15 mph, temperatures are primarily in the
upper 70s along the island chain. Meanwhile, local radars are
only detecting isolated showers across our region. On our marine
district, winds are southeast to south at 10 to 15 knots.

.SHORT TERM...(Today through Friday night)
A ridge of high pressure will lift northward and expand
across the Sunshine State for the balance of this week.
Without any distinct low level undulation and large scale
ascent slowly lifting northward and away from our region.
See no reason to adjust rain chances between 10 and 20 percent
through this forecast cycle.

.LONG TERM...(Saturday through Tuesday)
Moisture may gradually increase through the period, hence, will
retain mainly 20 percent pops this weekend, to 30 to 40 percent
which is a blend of both ECE/MEX 12 hour MOS guidance early next
week.

.MARINE...
Light to gentle winds will predominate on Keys coastal waters
through Wednesday, before gentle to moderate breezes prevail
for Wednesday night through at least early Thursday night.
Thereafter, light to gentle winds should end the week and persist
into at least early in the weekend.

.AVIATION...
VFR conditions will prevail at the island terminals through 28/12z
with southeast to south winds near 10 knots or less.

.CLIMATE...
In 1984, the daily record rainfall of 2.95 inches was recorded
in Key West. Rainfall records date back to 1871.
