410 FXUS63 KPAH 140638 AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Paducah KY 138 AM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - Francine`s extra tropical remnants will be capable of another 1/4-1/2" of rainfall across our south, with locally higher amounts up to 3/4" possible. - After Francine`s departure, drier and warmer weather will build across the area, mainly for mid to late next week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 135 AM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 As soupy dew points near 70F hold, Francine`s extra tropical remnants may yet put out another 1/4-1/2" of rainfall across portions of our south today, even as its circulation center drifts further southward/away from the region. Locally higher amounts up to about 3/4" are possible in western Ky near the Tn border. Meanwhile, high pressure over the middle and upper Ohio Valley will all but end our pops in our northeast counties, with scant additional rainfall expected there. Pops dwindle across the remainder of the Forecast Area as it all winds down by early next week, with the ridge of high pressure blocking return flow moisture as we transition to a drier and warmer pattern for the bulk of the new work week. Temperatures ultimately return to the mid and upper 80s. && .AVIATION /12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z SUNDAY/... Issued at 135 AM CDT Sat Sep 14 2024 With a humid air mass and scattered showers still lingering, some possibility for restricted vsbys is off DISCUSSION... AVIATION... ered this morning. Cigs range from VFR to occasional MVFR where scattered showers occur. Lower IFR bases are not out of the question, but this chance is low and confined mainly to KCGI/KPAH. Daytime heating will continue shower/storm chances but it will be lower overall today vs yesterday and again, with these chances mainly further south at KCGI/KPAH. && .PAH WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
