756 FZUS61 KBUF 261330 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 930 AM EDT Sun May 26 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...A 29.9 inch high will reside over the lake today. A 29.3 inch low will then track from Lake Michigan to central Quebec Sunday night through Tuesday with its warm front crossing the lake Monday and its trailing cold front then following suit Monday night. This low will then weaken to 29.7 inches as it slowly drifts across northern Quebec and Atlantic Canada Tuesday and Wednesday. An expansive 30.2 inch high centered over Hudson Bay will build across the Great Lakes Wednesday night and Thursday.
