928 FXUS64 KSJT 040746 AFDSJT Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service San Angelo TX 146 AM CST Tue Nov 4 2025 ...New SHORT TERM... .KEY MESSAGES... - Warmer temperatures and dry weather this week. - Low to medium chance (20-40%) of reaching record high temperatures on Wednesday afternoon. && .SHORT TERM... (Today and tonight) Issued at 146 AM CST Tue Nov 4 2025 Upper ridging over the area this morning will flatten into west/southwest flow by early Wednesday morning. That said, the low level (850mb) thermal ridge will warm 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, allowing for temperatures which will allow for another warm day, with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Winds will be a bit gustier out of the southwest late this morning into the afternoon as surface troughing from eastern Colorado into northeastern New Mexico and the TX Panhandle tighten the surface pressure gradient over our region. Overnight, surface winds are expected to remain in the 5 to 15 mph range away from valleys, so overnight lows are expected to be a bit warmer from the upper 40s to mid 50s. && .LONG TERM... (Wednesday through Monday) Issued at 1200 AM CST Tue Nov 4 2025 Warm and dry conditions will persist through much of this week under upper-level high pressure. A weak cold front will move through on Friday which will result in slightly cooler temperatures, with a second, and stronger front expected to track through the area Saturday. This secondary and stronger front will bring high temperatures back down into the 60s and 70s for Sunday and the early part of next week. && .AVIATION...
