This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected
today and tonight. With very little instability, severe weather is
not expected. One or two stronger storms may produce small hail
and gusty winds near the Colorado border this afternoon and

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Daily chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue through
the forecast period. Some storms may be severe with a potential
for large hail and outflow winds. The risk for severe weather is
highest along the dryline, across the western and northwest zones
Tuesday afternoon and evening, and again along the dryline across
the eastern zones Wednesday afternoon and evening. Strong south
winds on Tuesday will gust 30 to 40 mph, introducing a limited
risk for fire spread.
