This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

There is an elevated risk of wildfire spread during the midday and
afternoon hours today. Fire conditions will be most critical in
areas along, and especially west, of US Highway 83. North winds
will gust near 40 mph in these areas, as relative humidity fall to
near 20%.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Dry weather will continue with no precipitation in sight. As such,
fire danger will continue to be a concern each afternoon. Current
model solutions show the strongest winds occurring Monday and
again on Wednesday.
