A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA. PLEASE REFER TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WEBSITE AT WEATHER.GOV/DESMOINES FOR
FURTHER DETAILS.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE TONIGHT...WITH THE
GREATEST POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAIN DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE...WITH HIGHER
AMOUNTS POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF WEST CENTRAL IOWA. LOCALIZED
FLASH FLOOD IS POSSIBLE AND RISES IN SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY
RESULT FROM THE HEAVY RAIN. IN ADDITION...AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM
MAY BE SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS THE MAIN THREATS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE AREA THROUGH NOON.

WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY
WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN AND POTENTIALLY LOCALIZED FLASH
FLOODING REMAINING A THREAT THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS.

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE OFF AND ON THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING AND RETURN ACROSS THE AREA SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH
MONDAY MORNING. HEAVY RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE THURSDAY NIGHT MAINLY
FROM CENTRAL THROUGH NORTHERN IOWA WHERE ONE TO TWO ROUNDS OF
HEAVY RAINFALL MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING AND RISES IN SMALL
STREAMS AND RIVERS. A FEW SEVERE STORMS MAY BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES
AS WELL. ADDITIONALLY...A THREAT FOR MORE ORGANIZED SEVERE WEATHER
