THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM. PLEASE
REFER TO THE LATEST WARNING MESSAGE FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.

THERE REMAINS AT LEAST A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
ANYWHERE WITHIN THE OUTLOOK AREA THROUGH TONIGHT AS A COLD FRONT
SLOWLY MOVES THROUGH. ALTHOUGH THE COVERAGE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL
LIKELY BE FAIRLY SPOTTY...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK THAT ONE OR
POSSIBLY A FEW STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE...WITH THE MAIN THREATS
BEING HAIL UP TO AROUND QUARTER SIZE AND WIND GUSTS TO AROUND 60
MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

THERE ARE SEVERAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITHIN THE OUTLOOK
AREA THROUGHOUT THE SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY TIME FRAME. ALTHOUGH A
FEW STRONGER STORMS CANNOT BE RULED OUT...AT LEAST FOR NOW THE
RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS APPEARS RATHER LOW THROUGH MONDAY. BEYOND
MONDAY...IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO CONFIDENTLY ASSESS THE
POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS. PLEASE NOTE THAT THUNDERSTORM
PREDICTABILITY IN THIS SUMMER WEATHER PATTERN CARRIES LOWER-THAN-
AVERAGE CONFIDENCE...MEANING THAT STORM CHANCES COULD INCREASE OR
DECREASE WITH FAIRLY SHORT NOTICE...SO BE SURE TO STAY UP TO DATE
WITH THE LATEST FORECASTS.

ALTHOUGH NEXT WEEK WILL NOT BE AS HOT...HEAT INDEX VALUES COULD
STILL REACH OR SLIGHTLY EXCEED 100 DEGREES IN SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF
THE OUTLOOK AREA ON A FEW AFTERNOONS...ESPECIALLY ON TUESDAY IN
NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED ON AN ISOLATED BASIS AT SOME
POINT THROUGH TONIGHT.
